Cypher resides with a family member
Cypher is our affectionate little lovebug—the kind of girl who believes there is absolutely no such thing as being too close to her people. If there’s an available lap, she’ll find it, and she has yet to accept the fact that Australian Shepherds aren’t technically lap dogs. Being held, cuddled, and loved on is pretty much her idea of a perfect day. Her absolute favorite people are kids. Cypher has an especially sweet way with children and genuinely seeks them out. Whether she’s curled up beside them, following along with whatever they’re doing, or happily soaking up all the hugs they’re willing to give, she seems to know that kids are her people. Her gentle, affectionate nature really shines around them. Cypher has a softer, easygoing temperament. She doesn’t need to be constantly busy or looking for the next thing to do—she’s perfectly content just being part of family life. But, when she’s comfortable and the fun starts, her playful side comes right along with it. She can be silly, happy, and full of personality before happily settling back in for another round of snuggles. Cypher bonds deeply with her people and loves with her whole heart. She wants to be involved, but more than anything, she wants to be close—preferably touching you, leaning on you, or somehow convincing you that all 40-something pounds of her absolutely belong in your lap. Her combination of sweetness, gentleness, playfulness, and incredible affection makes Cypher such a special girl. She has the kind of temperament that reminds us why Australian Shepherds can be such extraordinary family dogs—a devoted companion, a child’s best friend, and, according to Cypher, the world’s most perfectly sized lap dog.
